Jacob and Dylan - fractions as proportions of a whole.

Jacob and Dylan had the difficult task of going first with our new idea of creating maths videos.
They had to explain the fact that Fractions are parts of a set whole. That 'whole' is called the denominator. When working with fractions you need to know what 'it' is a fraction of.
(is it 2/3 of New Zealand or 2/3 of our class?)
Meaning a fraction is never a set amount. It is a proportion of the whole.
